Amanda Machado

In January 2022, Amanda Machado accepted the role as President for Machado Family Giving. As President, Amanda oversees all functions of the organization. She collaborates with the executive team and board members to plan, develop, and implement short and long-term goals. She leads and manages the furtherance of the organization’s mission and vision.
In addition to her role as President, Amanda is currently an Area Manager for a local non-profit that provides services for adults with intellectual disabilities. She has over 10 years of experience in the social services field working with diverse populations as well as 8 years in upper management and operations. Through her work, she has created enriching opportunities and services for many families in need. Throughout her career, Amanda has built strong community partnerships and has experience working with local city and state agencies to provide quality services and promote meaningful change.
Amanda holds a BA in Psychology from Oregon Institute of Technology and a MA in Disability Studies with emphasis in Disability Policy from California Baptist University. Her collegiate opportunities allowed her to study in Oregon, New Hampshire, and California where she gained extensive knowledge and hands on experience working with individuals of all ages with traumatic brain injuries, physical, intellectual, and mental disabilities.
Amanda prides herself in being a person-centered leader and an advocate for social equality. Throughout her life, her family instilled the importance of giving back to those in need. Leading by example, Amanda hopes to instill the same values in her daughter through this exciting opportunity with Machado Family Giving.
